Me estreno en inglés con un fisking a Fjordman en el que se apuntan a algunas ligerezas en su análisis de la inmigración mejicana en EE. UU., aunque sin negar la mayor.
This is the topic of the essay by Fjordman in Gates of Vienna: Another American Century or Another American Civil War? The interest of the topic is reflected in the more than 70 comments it got. I would like to point to a few issues, which may be misunderstandings, even if I support the main conclusion.
This massive migration has become so ingrained in Mexico that people name their babies Johnny and Leslie, certain that their kids’ future lies in the United States.
Well, this is actually a funny trend that one can find all around Hispanoamérica. The assumption that it means they expect to emigrate to the USA is simply wrong.
Being brutally candid means recognizing that the huge and largely uncontrolled inflow of unskilled Latino workers into the United States is increasingly sabotaging the assimilation process.
Latino workers? From the Latium? I did not know the Romans had reached that far away. They considered the Atlantic rather dangerous. The Heracles Columns in Gibraltar strait signales the Non plus ultra (Not further away). But the statement is obviously truth, if assimilating means changing to a Calvinist mind, so close to the Mohammedan. They should reject that kind of assimilation. "I may loose Faith, not Reason…"
I have read Mexicans bragging about how little they care about US laws. Soon they will be the majority in the American Southwest and will simply change the laws to suit them
The reading is correct, the understanding not. They show the same disrespect also to the laws of their own country. By the way, why should they change the laws if they are not going to care anyway? I agree in any case that there is something to be done there.
The Mexican constitution includes restrictions on foreigners in any way participating in the political affairs of the country.
This is right, our ex PM Aznar was criticised for supporting a Mexican candidate (and the candidate fined). Ridiculous. It shows their lack of confidence: The USA gave a damm to the opinion of the Europeans, who of course are more interested in the American election than in the European.
Article 16 states, “In cases of flagrante delicto, any person may arrest the offender and his accomplices, turning them over without delay to the nearest authorities.” In other words, Mexico grants its citizens the right to arrest illegal aliens and hand them over to police for prosecution.
Not a good interpretation. You can not know that a person is an “illegal alien”, then you can not claim any “flagante delicto”. This is comparable to self defence.
Latin America’s love affair with Socialism, as exemplified by the three Cs – Chavez, Castro and Che Guevara – is even more pathological than Europe’s.
Ritght. This love affair is an import from Europe. It is the continuation of the Black Legend (a protestant anglosaxon invention) by other means. Includes granting the Nobel Prize on 1992 (V centennial of Discovery) to a colourfull Indian who turned to be a charlatan and receiving Morales in the Parliament with the red carpet.
Still. I subscribe the major conclusion:
You are the indispensable nation, and if you break down, the rest of the planet is in serious trouble. Europe will have to concentrate on just surviving, India has Islamic problems or her own, Russia is neither willing nor able to lead a fight against Islam, and China doesn’t care. It may even prefer a conflict that will eliminate its Western rivals. The major obstacle to the agenda of Islamic world domination is the USA. The issue of illegal immigration is not about your golf courses, your lawns or your nannies, it’s about whether your children and grandchildren will grow up facing another American Century or another American civil war. And by extension, whether large parts of the world will be following sharia law.
Let us help the Anglosphere to accomplish the complete moral destruction of Mohammedism. We will see later.
