Sentencia de la Justicia Francesa: El caso al Dura fue un fraude periodístico
La sentencia dice que la cinta aportada por la cadena no “disipan” las dudas sobre su autenticidad, pero está claro:
“Circularon por todo el mundo y ejemplificaron el fuego indiscriminado en la franja de Gaza. Pero su autenticidad vuelve a estar en entredicho. Un tribunal francés concluye que las imágenes emitidas por el canal France 2 en las que se veía a un padre y su hijo palestinos envueltos en un tiroteo en la franja de Gaza en el año 2000, son un fraude.
Los expertos han llegado a la conclusión de que la cinta aportada por la cadena no “disipan” las dudas sobre su autenticidad.
El canal France 2 emitió un reportaje en el que se veía a Jamal al-Durrah y a su hijo de 12 años Muhammad cubiertos en un muro de los disparos del frente israelí.
Entre los comentarios de estas imágenes, que dieron la vuelta al mundo, el periodista Charles Enderlin explicó que la muerte del joven palestino había sido recogida por las cámaras de esta cadena.
En el año 2004, el dueño de la agencia ‘Media Ratings’, Philippe Karsenty, escribió en su web que este reportaje se trataba simplemente de “pura ficción”.
Además, añadía que la emisión de estas imágenes suponían “una vergüenza para Francia y su sistema de televisión pública”.
La cadena francesa decidió denunciar a ‘Media ratings’ ya que, a su entender, estaba siendo víctima de una campaña dirigida por “teorías conspiracionistas”.
La sentencia de este tribunal da la razón a la página web ‘Media Ratings’, al considerar que ha ejercido “de buena fe” su derecho a criticar.
Sin embargo el daño está hecho. Calumnia, calumnia, que algo queda. Aquí está el sello para la posteridad:
