The Western Balkans risks becoming a platform for anti-EU terrorist attacks a new study by US and Croat intelligence says, with three suspects indicted in Sarajevo on Tuesday (18 April). "They [Al-Qaeda linked groups] judge that it is high time that their job on this territory should be taken over by new local forces," the classified 252-page text seen by Associated Press states.
"People who are born here and live here have an advantage which would make their job easier. By their appearance, they are less obvious."
The report says the Bosniak community in Bosnia and Herzegovina - ethnic Slavs who follow Islam - is a key target for terror recruitment agents because Bosniaks can blend easily into European society.
"Bosnia has become a breeding ground for terrorists," Bosnian intelligence chief Dragan Lukac told Associated Press.

The US and Croat report is partly-based on evidence obtained from six Algerian-born Bosnians held in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

"There isn't a large community that would support that kind of activity here," Mr Weber told Associated Press.

Colorado’s K-12 school classrooms would have 131,000 fewer students if illegal aliens and the children of illegals were to stay home, and Denver high schools’ dropout rate would once again approach the national norm.
Colorado’s jails and prisons would have 10-percent fewer inmates, and Denver and many other towns would not need to build so many new jails to accommodate the overcrowding.

Las elecciones municipales británicas de hoy pueden significar un cambio profundo en la situación política de Gran Bretaña. El laborismo se verá afectado por el cansancio que ha supuesto el tercer mandato de Blair como Primer Ministro y por un escándalo reciente: La excarcelación de más de 1000 delincuentes extranjeros, la mayoría de los cuales están en paradero desconocido. Este asunto se ha hecho público en las últimas dos semanas y ha sido uno de los temas recurrentes de la campaña. El ministro de interior podría verse forzado a dimitir esta misma semana (Aumenta la presión para que dimita el ministro del Interior británico, de pago) :
Según las últimas revelaciones periodísticas, Clarke tardó tres semanas en informar al propio primer ministro, Tony Blair, de que se ignoraba el paradero de los delincuentes liberados. El responsable del Interior de la oposición conservadora, David Davis, calificó lo ocurrido de «escandaloso».
