ESTAMBUL.- Cada vez más mujeres jóvenes se suicidan en Turquía. De enero a mayo de 2006, 36 mujeres se quitaron la vida en el sureste del país, más que en todo el año anterior. Estas muertes están relacionadas con los llamados crímenes de honor. Según las últimas investigaciones, el cambio de la legislación turca en lo que concierne a los delitos de honor, que antes tenían un tratamiento mucho más benévolo, está relacionado con este incremento de suicidas. Las familias afectadas por estos delitos han cambiado de estrategia: en lugar de matar a la joven que ha manchado el honor de la familia le inducen a suicidarse o acaban con su vida y presentan la muerte como un suicidio.
Según Yakin Ertürk, la relatora especial de la ONU sobre violencia contra las mujeres, «las niñas están siendo forzadas a suicidarse porque el nuevo Código ya no contempla atenuantes para los familiares que cometen delitos de honor».

I’m sorry to accept that there was some of honor crimes in Turkey. Unfortunately it is true..
But I just give some informations about it to you.. Read it and know what it is…
Firstly, the honor crimes does not have ANY relation with islam or any religion.. And the honor crimes does not become in the all part of Turkey..
The honor crimes are a part of Kurdish people’s cultures. And these crimes occurs only in the Southeast part of Turkey where the Kurdish people lives.
Kurdish people, have a difference culture and morals, they don’t call it HONOR CRİME, they do it for their morals’,
for example if a kurdish man’s wife two-times… The Kurdish man have to kill his wife! if not he is just banned by his society…
But this rule is not coming from a religion belief, it just comes from their old old cultural structure..
How can a religion order a raving rule like this..
But I can understand you.. You are watching some of silly islamic countries from middle-east, and watching what they do raving things for islam, then you think Turkey is just same with them..Because Turkey is islamic too and there are some raving crimes become in Turkey. Yes, Islam!
But NO! I’m repeating..
These inhuman crimes does not have ANY relation with TURKS and with islam! be sure..
Of course not, Islam is «the religion of peace». The lapidation of adulters (of women adulters, of course) has nothing to do with «the religion of peace».

Anyway I didn’t say that Islam was peace however it was, because I don’t need to say it to you who the fanatic enemy of islam…
You try to defend your country and your religion and of course that’s legitimate, but you cannot hide true facts about that. I really wish your country not to enter the EU. It has nothing to do with Europe.
Of course I cannot hide anything, but there is an unjustness in here! to Turkey.. It’s just like a SMEAR CAMPAIGN!…
For Example Previous weeks, there had been an ASSASSINATION to Greek minister, in Greece…
Why didnot anyone in here write that that was a big STROKE to Greece democracy??
Why didnot any report speak about it in here, how much it is a barbaric method for democracy???
and etc…
All simple negative events in Turkey, are taken, are pumped and are made EXAGGERATED reports AGAINST, Turkey!…
Why??
Because Turkey should not be in EU..
Why not??
Because Turkey is muslim…
It is a SHAMEFUL APPROACH FOR HUMANITY!!!
On the contrary, this is the best approach. Most Europeans don’t want Turkey to enter the EU, and the main reason is obvious of course, because it’s a muslim country.
European countries are already struggling to integrate people who don’t want to assimilate the language, the culture and the way of living of European countries. We witness the harsh consequences of multiculturalism and we see how desastrous it is. But I don’t condemn all immigrants for there are some who integrate a country in its whole, many of them have fled their country because of religious pressure and now, they see it again in our own democracies.
Religion is a poison. Have a look at how muslim people rioted in Europe after the famous caricatures. We cannot do or say anthing now, where is our freedom of speech, or just our freedom ? if we cannot criticize a religion, what are we left with ? nothing. People before us have struggled to gain rights, and now we see these right slip away from us. It’s time to react !
France, that is supposed to be laic, is just bowing to islam. This awful situation is tearing me because I’m French and I love my country.

And No, I do not want Turkey in Europe TILL Europe is defined. NOW it is not so it can be a carrot, a glass or a watch (I am not comparing it with any of these things). When Europeans define who it is, we can decide on others. BUT till that day, I do not think we are prepared to assimilate such a different country.
